2012 at Lyman was a friendly 2 day competition.  On the first day Bill carved a mermaid out of 5 blocks....day 2, a flaming phoenix out of 2 blocks. 

He placed 2nd overall.  Way to go Jeff Scarpa!!!!!

Ice Wars at the 2011 Winterfest at Lyman Orchards

5 Competitors, 5 Hours, 5 Blocks of Ice

Each professional sculptor turned 5 blocks of ice, weighing 300 pounds each, into a Carnival Themed sculpture! 

Bill won the People's Choice Award both Saturday and Sunday!
