Ice Matters is a full service Ice Carving Company located in Waterbury, CT. Since our family business opened in 1999, Bill, owner and sculptor, has won numerous awards for his creations. Bill
created the world's first fully functional
ice guitar for Norway's second annual Full Moon Festival in
February 2007. A professional Norwegian musician played a solo at
the ice concert with the guitar. The picture was taken under
the full moon, which gave the guitar the blue color you see.

This Gargoyle
was created by Bill and a carver friend, Jeff from New Hampshire at
the 2006 World Ice Art Championships in Fairbanks, AK. The
8000 pound block of ice was approx 12 feet tall upon
completion. They worked on the sculpture for several days in
below zero temperatures - and their hard work paid off -
placing SECOND IN THE
WORLD!!! |
